The brief
A 1.4m fall across the rear boundary left an unusable, waterlogged yard. We cut a single working level and held it with a full-length sleeper wall.
Construction detail
Tight side access and a neighbouring fence line meant posts were bored by hand at the boundary. Water was tracking along the fence, so drainage was designed before the wall.
Finished result
Forty-two metres of retaining, one flat lawn, and a drainage line that discharges to the legal point instead of the neighbour's block.
